One of our beautiful ARTers felt this way for as long as she could remember. When she joined ART, she said she was in a dark place and was not sure how to deal with it. She wanted a way out of her sadness and was hopeful there would be change.
Instead of feeling the need to put on her ‘mask’ of a smile and pretend everything was ‘fine’, in the ART Community she felt accepted and free to be herself.
With determination, she explored where her sadness came from and she discovered it was because she was always seeking external approval from everyone else – her partner, her family, her workmates, her boss, her friends, even acquaintances.
Throughout the 7 Week Intensive and her personal coaching sessions she began to feel lighter. The sadness was released and she found her true self. She now shines that beautiful light inside of her and believes that the only person she needs approval from is herself.
